Earle,
Thank you for the opportunity to fish with you this morning. It was
great! I will be recommending you to everyone I know. Attached are
the pictures from this morning. I think your pictures will be
better, I would appreciate a copy of them if this is not to much
trouble.
Thanks again for a great morning.
Josh

Earle,
We caught two muskie before calling it quits
yesterday. Curt caught a nice 37 inch fish and I
caught a 19 inch baby, both on Bandit crank baits and
trolling on the Martin Flats. The weather had
started to change or we would have been skunked for
muskie. We caught a few bass, mostly white. We
enjoyed out trip and your professional guide
service. I’m sure you’ll get a picture of the fish
from Curt.

Hi, Earle
God bless your day!
I doubt if you
remember me (Doug Dubisar-Marshall,
Mo.) and my son-in-law, Jim Hall. We
fished with you on a June Monday with no musky success. It doesn’t
matter.
What matters is our
thanks to you from what we learned from you! Jim added three Down
East rod holders to our boat, he made 6’ trolling leaders, and we
decided to troll rather than cast on our annual July vacation trip to
Lake Miltona in
Minnesota. We copied your setup on your
pontoon. Rods on the left, right, one down the middle.
Results! We
caught and released our first three muskies and had a large fourth on
but she got off! On Tuesday morning, July 21 we caught and
released our first, a 40” beauty! She liked a Polish Pike!
We estimated her weight to be around 20#. Later in the morning, we
caught our second, a cute young lady around 24”. She fell for a
Salmo Pike. On Wednesday morning, July 22 we caught a queen!
We estimated her length to be around 47” and somewhere in the 34# range!
She tried to devour a Bucher Topraider. No muskies on Thursday or
Friday.
Do you want me to
e-mail you pictures? We have pictures of all three muskies.
Once again, thanks!
Doug Dubisar

Earle,
I
just wanted you to know that my Dad and I enjoyed
our fishing trip with you on Monday. Hopefully we
learned enough about the Lake
to successfully fish for and catch Muskies on Pomme
in the near future.
We did manage to catch two Muskies Tuesday
afternoon. I am not sure of the time but I would say
that my fish was caught around 1:00 pm and my Dad’s
at around 1:30. My fish was a fat 37” fish released
in excellent condition, my Dad’s fish was a
youngster, only 19 ½ “ long, but still a Muskie.
Both fish were caught trolling for Walleye on Martin
flats. I had actually given up trying to catch a
Muskie that day and had decided to try catching a
few Walleye. When my fish hit that crank bait, there
was no doubt it was a Muskie. He/she jumped a couple
of times and put up a good fight. Kudos to my Dad on
the net job.
I
know how you Muskie anglers like your big baits, and
heavy tackle, but both of our fish were caught on a
small crank bait. The outfit I caught my fish with
was a med./light rod with 10lb test line (one of the
rigs I always use fishing for Walleye), without a
leader, the line around the bait was very frayed
though. My Dad’s outfit was about the same as mine
except he did have a leader on his. I understand why
you fish with heavy-duty tackle, but I am simply
pointing out that it can be done the other way as
well.
About 30 minutes after we talked to you by the boat
docks I had a follow from a huge Muskie on a silver
Vibrax spinner with a black bucktail. The fish was
definitely way over 40”, it charged my bait & then
veered off at the last second, I was sure the figure
8 would seal the deal, but no luck. That was back in
that cove we fished with you with all of the
submerged timber, about 2/3 of the way back in the
cove.
Once again, thanks for sharing your knowledge of the
Lake and Muskies with us.

Dear Earle,
Me and Riley wish to thank you for
such a wonderful time at Pomme on
our first guided trip. Although the
weather and fish didn't cooperate it
goes with out saying that we truly
enjoyed your company. You are an
asset to the area and an Ambassador
of Goodwill.
Today I am sending in my check for a
three year family membership with
Muskies Inc. I look forward with
great anticipation of fishing Pomme
again. Riley is really hooked and
wants me to buy a boat as soon as
possible. That just might become a
reality as that little jon boat I
rented at Nemo Marina wasn't much of
a fishing boat but it was better
than nothing!
In closing, everyone I encountered
during my weekend was more than
friendly and the area is stunningly
beautiful. However, do you have to
do such a damn good job of promoting
the lake? I like it just the way it
is. Non-polluted, uncrowded, and
affordable.
Thanks again Earle. Hope you enjoy
the pics I attached.
Regards,
Greg Bersch

Earle.....aka "World's
Greatest Muskie Guide",
I wanted to thank you again
for a wonderful time
fishing. Not only did you
do a wonderful job of
putting me on the fish, as
evidenced by my first
muskie, a 41 incher, you
also made the entire time
fun and informative. Your
natural likeability, your
love of muskie fishing and
your willingness to share
your years of knowledge made
for a unforgettable outing.
I could go on and on with
more accolades but I think
this will say it best......I
WILL BE BACK!!!! I will say
it one more time.....You are
the worlds greatest
guide!!!!
Thanks for a great
experience!!

Thank you for the great musky outing on my
birthday. I not only managed to boat my first Missouri musky, I got a
chance to fish with one of the best guides I have ever had the pleasure
of fishing with. You knowledge of the lake and the fishery is
outstanding and I can’t wait to book another trip to increase knowledge
and begin fishing this great body of water on my own. Hope I can get
the opportunity to compete in the upcoming tournament. Again, Thank you
for sharing your musky skills and making my birthday one that I won’t
forget.
